Bonfim – Porto
The new Casa Palacio Fenizia building was purchased in 2018 and is currently being approved for rehabilitation, is located in Rua Bonfim 191-195.
The street connects Piazza Campo 24 Agosto with the monumental church of Bonfim. (1874-1894) typical example of the neo-classical style, whose chapel dates back to 1786.
The “freguesia” de Bonfim had been the industrial area of the late 19th century and you can still encount ancient factories of the time, now closed. Furthermore la Rua de Bonfim is a ring between central streets like Santa Caterina and the new train station of Campanha, a new neighborhood where is now opening art galleries.
The Project curated together with the Arq Andre Dias-studio, continues in the spirit of the ex Palacio Fenizia, always with the highest respect for even the smallest architectural presences, preserving the uniqueness of the spaces and with minimal rehabilitation interventions in the service spaces.
The Building has a large Garden space that is bordering to the gardens of the neighboring buildings, with a small construction at the end, which will be annexed to a Winter Garden, space for a cocktail / aperitif or a kitchen to “share”
3 apartments (T1 or T2 depending on the needs), more three studios (T0) or suites with their kitchenette, and more 2 apartments in the attic with exposed beams and loft.
One of these faces the street and also has a small veranda (or balcony) the furnishings will also be a mix of contemporary design and vintage objects linked to the history of Porto and Portugal.
